Introduced in '69, the Mach 1 may not have topped the speed of sound, but Ford enthusiasts certainly liked the sound of a standard 351 cid powerplant, or any of the powerful engine options. No "wolf in sheep's clothing," a number of sporty exterior markings reinforced that the car was an all-out animal, including a shaker hood scoop and exclusive side stripe. At the height of the muscle car craze, the 1969 Mustang Mach 1 not only became the performance Mustang, but also a car for the ages.
