Maisto’s release of the model comes on the heels of Lamborghini’s impressive introduction of the Gallardo to the world at the Geneva Auto Show. The Gallardo, named after a famous breed of fighting bulls, marks the first time in over 10 years that Lamborghini will offer a second model line. Lamborghini as well as Maisto introduced the Murcielago last year. The Gallardo, originally code named the L140, is a 4-wheel drive mid-engine sports car that is powered by an all-new V10 cylinder engine capable of a stunning 500 horsepower. The car also features a 6 -speed gearbox with a traditional gearshift or a new sequential e-gear with shift paddles on the steering column.

Maisto’s replica exquisitely details the rear mounted 12-cylinder engine in such a way that you expect the replica to be as fast as the real car. Also highlighted are the brake calipers on all 4 wheels, the 6 speed gearbox, and delicate louvers on the rear body.

The model features opening doors, hood, and engine cover, with working rear suspension and front wheels operated by the steering wheel.
