Ron Mancini's famous "Detroit Bee Leaver", sponsored by the Greater Detroit Dodge Dealers, featured a 440 wedge engine that was built personally by Tom Hoover, a Chrysler engineer. The car ran 11.60's @ 120 mph and set a world record. The car finished 2nd over all in 1968, only edged out by another Dodge at the last race of the season!
