Jeg Coughlin Sr. had a very successful drag racing career, winning the 1980 Division 3 Top Fuel Championship as well as 11 major event wins in Top Fuel, Pro Comp and Super Eliminator. Jeg coughlin's past honors include induction to the NHRA Hall of fame as well as the Hot Rod Magazine Hall of Fame for his contribution to motorsports. Jeg drove this Vega to speeds approaching 160 mph and low 9.0 ET's. Jeg retired from active driving after 28 years of racing and today, Jeg's Mail Order is one of the most successful parts and distribution companies in the USA.
